The Udyog Aadhaar Registration has replaced the MSME registration process in India which is mandatory for all small and medium enterprises to reduce the paperwork involved in the existing MSME registration process.
After this, the MSME registration has become very easy and can be done both online and offline modes.
Udyog Aadhar Registration which is by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises comes under Government of India. It is a 12-digit unique number which allows availing various benefits under government schemes like business loans on low interest, bank transactions, etc. Udyog Aadhaar is basically an Aadhaar card for the enterprise.
If a businessman wishes to cancel the registration, there is an offline procedure to do that.
Steps to cancel Udyog Aadhaar registration:
Step-1
The first step will be to find the Udyog Aadhaar Center which is usually the District Industrial Center. There is a center for every state. If the business owner is not able to find a center, all of the details including the contact details be found out in the Udyog Aadhaar Registration Certificate. The next thing to do is to get the registration cancellation form.
Step-2
The next step will include writing an application to the Center with the reason for this step and the details of the activities of the business whose registration you want to cancel.
Step-3
Submitting the documents like the cancellation form, original Udyog Aadhaar card, and bank details is necessary.
Step-4
If everything is submitted, the business owner can request an acknowledgment letter from the officer-in-charge, in the District Industrial Center. This acknowledgment letter is an important document and may be required in the future.
